SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway Region and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Chauk (3.54)inches, Nyaung Oo (2.63)inches, Nyaungtone (2.37)inches, Mindat (2.36)inches, Bago (2.01)inches, Pakokku (1.97)inches, Sinphyugyn (1.69)inches, Kyaukhtu (1.50)inches and Saw (1.45)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in (Eastern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions.
