SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan and Chin States, scattered in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan (Northern and Eastern), Chin and Kayah States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Minbu and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Dawei (2.52) inches, Bawlakhae (1.50) inches, Pinlaung (0.83)inch, Moekok (0.79)inch, Kyaukse (0.59)inch and Nay Pyi Taw (Ela) (0.56) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th April, 2015: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in the Central Myanmar areas.
