25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from Northern Myanmar areas during (15 - 20) of September. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Kachin, Eastern Shan States, below normal in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Nothern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayah States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and about (4) to (6) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah States.
