25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from the whole country during (15– 19) of October, 2021. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over North Bay of Bengal and East Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon will be weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Tanintharyi Region and  Kayin, Mon States, below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan State and  about normal in NayPyiTaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.

Rainy days are expected about (6) to (8) days in Upper Sagaing,  Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (3) to (5) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin States.
