SAC Member DPM MoTC Union Minister attends 65th Anniversary of World Meteorological Day
The ceremony of ‘The 65th anniversary of World Meteorological Day (WMD), organized by the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH), Ministry of Transport and Communications, was celebrated in Nay Pyi Taw today.
The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Ministry of Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo, Union Ministers from Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement, Deputy Ministers from Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Conservation and Ministry of Education and heads of relevant departments and guests.
State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Ministry of Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo delivered the opening address.
The Deputy Prime Minister and party enjoyed the video message of Prof. Celeste Saulo, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, and World Meteorological Day Video Clip. Then the Deputy Prime Minister gave prizes to winners in the 2025 World Meteorological Day commemorative article contest. He also visited the exhibition to mark the World Meteorological Day 2025.
In the afternoon, the paper reading session were continued, and eighteen research papers were presented on relevant Meteorological, Hydrological and Seismological topics from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Education.Ministry of Transport and Communications
