SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather have been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway Region and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manchanbaw (2.80)inches, Paingkyone (2.76)inches, Thayat (2.36)inches, Putao and Aunglan (2.13) inches each, Meikhtila (2.05)inches, Kawthong (1.97)inches and Tharrawady (1.57)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States.
