SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the Central Bay of Bengal and Deltaic areas. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Nyaunglaybin (2.71)inches, Kengtung (1.96)inches, Ngathayauk (1.69)inches, Tagaung (1.57)inches, Taunggyi (1.46) inches, Kyaukpyu (1.15)inches, Hainggyikyun (1.10)inches, Heho (1.06)inches, Loikaw and Thaton (0.94)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
