SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin State, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yamethin (3.54)inches, Machanbaw (2.83)inches, Hkamti (2.04)inches, Taunggu (1.89) inches, Gwa (1.77)inches, Kawthong (1.61)inches and Myingyan (1.53)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, (Eastern and Southern) Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
