01-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwestwards and crossed North Tamil Nadu coast near Puducherry(India) and downgraded into a Deep depression. It is likely to move continuously West-Southwestwards and crossing the interior of Tamil Nadu(India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper  Sagaing Region, Kachin and  (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay.
