SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Eastern and Northern) Shan State,  rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Bago Region,  Kayah and Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thandaunggyi (5.71)inches, Belin (4.92)inches, Chaungsone (4.69)inches, Laiway (4.06)inches, Bawlakhae (3.90)inches, Taunggu (Airport) (3.54)inches, Naypyitaw Airport (Ela) (3.19)inches, Paing Kyone (2.95)inches, Naypyitaw (Yezin)  (2.84)inches, Pyinmana (2.76)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.68)inches, Mudon (2.56)inches, Tungdwingyi (2.48)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.44)inches, Naypyitaw (Zabuthiri)  and Falam (2.24)inches each, Nyaunglaybin and Myeik (2.13)inches each and Htilin (2.02)inches.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over west central Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Eastern and Southern) Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and  Magway Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Northern Myanmar Areas.
