SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (3.27)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.68)inches, Launglone (1.69) inches, Loilin and Thabeikkyin (1.46)inches each and Kawthong (1.34)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the North Bay and moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States.
