BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
