SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yangon(North Dagon) (4.17)inches, Yangon(Mingaladon) (2.80)inches, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (2.36)inches, Ngathayouk (Agro) (2.20)inches, Monywa(Kyaemone) (2.01)inches, Nagzun (1.35)inches, Natogyi(Agro) (1.28)inches and Wundwin(Agro) (1.27)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over West central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the North Bay and moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
