SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Southern Shan and Kayin States, scattered in Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hlaingbwe (1.10)inches, Labutta (1.06)inches, Hinthada (0.79)inch, Paletwa and Kyaukse (0.67)inch each, Htillin (0.46)inch, Moemate (0.43)inch and Loilin (0.39)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
