SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershower have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Magway Region and Shan (East and South)State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Ayayarwady Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thaton (3.42)inches, Shwegyin (3.35)inches, Hpa-an (3.23)inches, Putao (3.03)inches, Hmawbi(Agro), Hpa-an(Agro) and Dawei (2.60)inches each, Kyauktaw (2.40)inches, Hmawbi and Myauk U (2.37)inches each, Madauk (2.09)inches, Gwa and Mawlamyine (1.85)inches each, Central Yangon and Belin (1.69)inches each, Kawkayeit (1.61)inches, Tatkon and Launglone (1.53)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:00)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the South Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal has moved West-Northwest wards and weaken gradually during next (24)hrs. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 12^th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan(North and South) and Kayah States,  fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Baog Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States.
