Depression
According to the observations at (20:00)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the South Bangladesh and adjoining west Bengal has moved Northward. It is located at about (37)miles East of Krishnanagar (India) and (25)miles Southeast of Chuadanga(Bangladesh). It is forecast to move North-Northwestwards. It is located near India and Bangladesh Coast, although it is not moving towards Myanmar coasts. Chin and Northern Rakhine States are affected due to the banding features of the depression. The present stage of the depression is coded orange stage.
Position of depression, Center pressure and wind
Depression is located at Latitude (23.4) degree North and Longitude (89.1) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (40)miles per hour at (20:00) hrs MST today.
General caution
Under the influence of the depression, rain or thundershowers will be regionally heavy falls in Chin and Northern Rakhine States.Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
Advisory
Under the influence of the depression, strong wind, heavy fall, flash flood and landslide may occur during this time. Advisory for people living near Chin and Northern Rakhine areas, small river and streams is to avoid landslide and suddenly rise the rivers levels. Dometic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and Northern Rakhine Coasts are advised especially to avert in condition of the depression.
