SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (6.38)inches, Madaya (4.72)inches, Manaung (2.80)inches, Myawady (2.52)inches, Myitkyina (2.40)inches, Putao and Pinlebu (2.21)inches each, Kawkayeit (2.17)inches, Moekok (1.96)inches, Thipaw (1.81)inches, Mudon (1.73)inches and Machanbaw (1.61)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Region, Kachin State.
