SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the
past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing
Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northen Shan and Chin
States, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining
Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago Region, isolated heavy
falls in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts
of rainfall recorded were Yangon (North Dagon) (4.65)inches, Kawkayeit (3.27)
inches, Bago(3.15) inches, Madauk (3.07)inches, Myawady (2.91)inches,
Chaungsone (2.80) inches, Central Yangon (2.76)inches, Kyainseikkyi (2.48)
inches, Putao (2.36)inches, Hinthada (2.25)inches, Hkamti (2.12)inches,
Hmawbi (2.08)inches, Myitkyina (2.04)inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.96)inches,
Tamu and Yangon(Kaba-aye) (1.92)inches each, Shwegyin (1.81) inches,
Naypyitaw (Zayartthiri) and Zalun (1.56)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th July, 2016: Rain or
thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay
and Magway Regions and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon,
Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and
Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood
of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of
certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of rain in
Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
