SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (2.61)inches, Hkamti (2.37)inches, Manaung (2.01) inches, Kyaukmae (1.89)inches, Putao (1.62)inches, Falam (1.42)inches, Gangaw (1.30)inches, Ann (1.06) inches, Zalun and Kawthong (1.02)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States.
