SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region,  rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Belin (5.08)inches, Maungdaw and Kyauktaw (5.04)inches each, Hkamti (4.65)inches, Paletwa (4.45)inches, Ann (3.97)inches, Myauk U (3.50)inches, Thandwe (3.47)inches, Taungkok and Thaton (3.43) inches each and Launglone (2.64)inches. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 7th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Shan (East and South) State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
