SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Homalin (1.58)inches, Paung (1.06)inches, Kawthong (0.87)inches and Moemate (0.51)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
