27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 12th June, 2016: Rain will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State. STATE OF THE SEA:  Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
