SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, Kachin, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mon State. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw (11+), Yangon (3.1) and Mandalay (11+). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (3.85)inches, Ann (2.76)inches, Mawlamyine (2.24)inches, Kyeikhame (2.20)inches, Shwegyin (1.96)inches, Taungkok (1.61)inches, Kyauktaw (1.57)inches, Tharrawady (1.54)inches, Naypyitaw Airport (Ela), Moekok and Phyu (1.42)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 8th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States.
