SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway Region, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.50)inches, Myeik (3.86)inches, Myingyan (2.99)inches, Nay Pyi Taw (Zabuthiri) (2.28)inches and Dawei (1.98)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th October, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan State and likelihood of isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in the Deltaic and Rakhine Coastal areas.
