SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon states, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (3.94)inches, Pyawbwe (2.80)inches, Myauk U (2.48)inches, Nay Pyi Taw (Tatkon) (1.77)inches, Loikaw (1.69) inches and Machanbaw (1.54)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 2nd October, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
