SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the North Bay, Central Bay of Bengal and Deltaic areas of Myanmar.. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Rakhine State, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon Region and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yamethin (3.98)inches, Loikaw (2.99)inches, Kawkayeik (2.40)inches, Kyainseikkyi (2.15)inches, Kawthong (1.97)inches, Taunggu (1.61)inches, Pinlaung (1.50)inches and Tharrawady (1.46)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
