SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (5.28) inches, Hkamti (3.58)inches, Laiway (2.25)inches, Machanbaw (2.01) inches, Nay Pyi Taw Airport (Ela) (1.93)inches, Theinzayet and Madauk (1.85)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Ayeyaarwady Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State.
