23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mon State.
