SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Paung (1.77) inches, Kyauktaw (1.50)inches, Yangon (Central) (1.19)inches and Mudon (1.02)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.
