SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, isolated in Nay Pyi Taw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (3.08)inches, Kyaukpyu (1.74)inches, Myauk U (1.22)inches, Paletwa (1.10)inches and Nyaungtone (1.01)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (11:00) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over North West Bay and adjoining Coastal area of North Odisha and West Bengal has moved to the North Odisha Coast (India).Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Chin and Rakhine states, widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Thundery condition in the central Myanmar areas.
