SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyeikmayaw (3.46)inches, Falam, Moekok and Yay (2.16) inches each, Mudon (2.13)inches, Mawlamyine (2.04)inches and Paung (1.93)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mon State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
