30-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T. During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were about January average temperatures in the whole country. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) each in Pinlaung and Hakha, (3°C) in Loilin, (4°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair in the North Bay and partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th January, 2015: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Kachin State, weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in the extreme Northern Myanmar areas.
