SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Labutta (10.59)inches, Sittwe (7.48)inches, Belin (4.69)inches, Myaungmya (4.37)inches, Gwa (4.06)inches, Tamu and Taungkok (3.74)inches each, Kyaukpyu (3.50)inches, Pathein (3.43)inches and Maungdaw (3.31)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th June, 2015: Rain will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of decrease of rain in the Rakhine Coastal areas.
