SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Magway and Yangon Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Ann (13.78)inches, Thandwe (10.08)inches, Taungkok (9.09)inches, Sittwe (8.19)inches, Kyaukpyu (7.80)inches, Myauk U (7.60)inches, Gwa (7.12)inches, Launglone (7.05)inches, Maungdaw (6.62)inches, Kyainseikkyi (5.82) inches, Paung (5.55) inches, Mawlamyine (4.69)inches, Thandunggyi and Hpa-an (4.53)inches each, Kyauktaw and Manaung (4.33)inches each, Paletwa(4.02) inches and Thayat (2.05)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th June, 2015: Rain will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.
