SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Shan State, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manaung (4.21)inches, Sittwe (3.66) inches, Mawlamyine (3.62) inches, Maungdaw (3.58) inches, Gwa and Myauk U (3.07) inches each, Yay (2.91)inches, Paletwa (2.72)inches, Taungkok (2.64)inches, Kyauktaw and Kyaukpyu (2.60)inches each, Manchanbaw and Paung (2.09)inches each, Nay Pyi Taw (M.O.C(6)) (2.04)inches.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State, isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Coastal areas.
