SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manaung (4.02)inches, Launglon (3.62)inches, Yangon (Mingaladon) (3.31) inches, Chaungsone (2.80) inches, Dawei (2.60) inches, Thaton (2.52)inches, Kyaukphu (2.44)inches and Kyeikmayaw (2.36)inches.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (13:30) hrs MST today, the depression over West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has crossed to South Odisha Coast (India). Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in the Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Rakhine Coastal areas.
