SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Homalin and Paung (2.67)inches each, Thaton (2.52)inches, Moemate (2.32)inches, Belin (2.09)inches, Hakha and Hpa-an (1.85)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over West Central Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the Coastal areas.
