26-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 770 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 405 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:     Monsoon is Strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate in elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Southern Myanmar areas.
