SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Chin States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yangon (Mingaladon) (2.40) inches, Thipaw (1.73) inches, Belin and Hakha (1.61) inches each, Pinlaung (1.42) inches, Taungkok (1.06) inches, Taungdwingyi, Thandwe and Ngathaichaung (0.98) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and scattered in remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon in the Central Myanmar areas.
