SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State, scattered in Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Southern Shan State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaungoo and Gangaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Okkpho (2.50) inches, Okkan (2.48) inches, Maubin (2.24) inches, Myingyan (2.08) inches, Kyemom (2.05) inches (Agro), Bago (1.50) inches and Launglon (1.46) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th May, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
