SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above January average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.0°C each in Hakha and Namsan(Southern Shan), 3.0°C in Heho, 3.2°C in Pyinoolwin, 4.3°C each in Tiddim and Loilin, 4.8°C in Pinlaung, 5.5°C in Mongyang, 6.2°C in Putao, 7.0°C in Myitkyina, 7.8°C in Machanbaw and 8.0°C in Taunggyi.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal, partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thJanuary 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Shan States.
