SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below January average temperature in Rakhine State, 2°C below January average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, 3°C above January average temperature in Northern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.2°C in Hakha, 5.0°C each in Putao and Tiddim, 6.4°C in Heho, 7.0°C in Machanbaw, 7.5°C in Pinlaung, 8.0°C in Myitkyina, 8.4°C in Pyinoolwin, 8.6°C in Namsan(Southern Shan) and 8.8°C in Hkamti.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5thJanuary 2025: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Shan States.
