SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were -1.0°C in Hakha, 3.9°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.8°C in Pyinoolwin, 5.0°C in Tiddim, 5.2°C in Heho, 5.4°C in Putao, 6.0°C in Pinlaung, 6.1°C in Loilin, 7.0°C in Myitkyina, 8.5°C in Taunggyi and 9.0°C in Mongyang.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd January 2025: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
