SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in the whole country. Night temperatures were 4°C below December average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Bago Region and Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, 3°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Northern Shan States and about December average temperatures in the Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. The significant night temperatures were 4.6°C in Myitkyina, 4.8°C in Putao, 5.6°C in Tiddim, 6.8°C in Pyinoolwin, 7.0°C each in Namsan(Southern Shan) and Hakha, 7.3°C in Machanbaw, 7.8°C in Loilin, 9.0°C in Mongyang, 9.4°C in Pinlaung and 9.9°C in Hkamti.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal has further intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 48 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th December 2024: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Nayptitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
