SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State. Weather have been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Chin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below December average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon States, 3°C to 4°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northren and Eastern)Shan State, 5°C to 6°C above December average temperatures in Kayah, Southern Shan States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.0°C in Hakha, 5.2°C in Tiddim, 5.8°C in Putao, 6.7°C in Myitkyina, 7.0°C in Machanbaw, 9.3°C in Mingin, 9.6°C in Hkamti and 9.7°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls record were 0.16 inch in Loilin and 0.08 inch each in Kawthaung and Namsan(Southern Shan).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify and move West-Northwestwards and reach to Tamil Nadu Coasts, India during next 2 days. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th December 2024: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
