SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain h‌ave been fairly widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below December average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States, 2°C below December average temperature in Rakhine State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States, 3°C to 4°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State, 6°C above December average temperature in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and about December average temperatures in the Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. The significant night temperatures were 0.0°C in Hakha, 3.8°C in Tiddim, 5.5°C in Putao, 7.5°C in Myitkyina, 8.5°C in Pyinoolwin, 8.6°C in Machanbaw and 10.4°C in Mingin. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls record were 1.65 inches in Bago, 1.02 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 0.83 inch in Minesat, 0.75 inch in Coco Island and 0.47 inch in Loikaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th December 2024: Rain will be widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon Regions, isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northen Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at time in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
