BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and has intensified into a Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL”. It is centered at about 680 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 160 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 150 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 30th November 2024: Rain will be widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in (Northern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Shan, Chin, Kayah States.
