SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Bago, Yangon Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 4°C below November average temperature in Chin State, 2°C below November average temperatures in Kachin, Rakhine States and 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan, Mon States, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperature in (Northern and Southern) Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.0°C in Hakha, 6.5°C in Tiddim, 10.0°C in Putao, 11.6°C in Myitkyina and 12.2°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall record were 2.28 inches in Loilin, 1.54 inches in Hmawbi, 0.87 inch in Madauk, 0.39 inch in Ela, 0.35 inch in Zaung Tu, 0.28 inch in Shwekyin and Belin, 0.25 inch in Bogale and 0.24 inch in Yangon(Kaba-Aye).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm Typhoon(MAN-YI) over the South China Sea has moved Westwards and downgraded into a Tropical Storm(MAN-YI). The Tropical Storm(MAN-YI) is likely forecast to move Westwards and reach near Hainan Island around the morning of 20-11-2024.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th November 2024: Rain will be scattered in (Northern and Southern) Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
