SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been isolated in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below November average temperatures in Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above November average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Kayah, Mon States, 3°C above November average temperature in Southern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.3°C in Hakha, 6.8°C in Tiddim, 10.5°C in Pyinoolwin, 11.7°C in Myitkyina and 12.0°C in Mongyang. The noteworthy amount of rainfall record were 1.93 inches in Kawkareik, 0.47 inch in Ye, 0.24 inch in Dawei and 0.12 inch in Loilin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon(MAN-YI) over the South China Sea is likely forecast continue to move West-Northwestwards and reach near Hainan Island around the night of 19-11-2024.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th November 2024: Rain will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah States.
