SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 5.8°C in Hakha, 10.0°C in Tiddim, 10.4°C in Pyinoolwin, 11.6°C in Loilin and 12.0°C in Namsam (Southern Shan). The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.15 inches in Phyarpon, 4.80 inches in Labutta, 4.25 inches in Bogale, 3.70 inches in Kyeitlat, 2.92 inches in Nyaunglaybin, 2.87 inches in Kungyangon, 2.84 inches in Letpandan, 2.83 inches in Hainggyigyun, 2.80 inches in Mawlamyinekyun and 2.64 inches in Kyonpyaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Eastcentral Bay and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon“(YINXING)” over the South China Sea is likely forecast continue to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th November 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time in Myanmar Waters. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th November 2024:                      One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.
